| Daniel moved to Kentucky around 1790 with his Boone neighbors from Rockingham County, Virginia. His father, Nicholas Alstott, had moved from Berks County, Pennsylvania to Rockingham County, Virginia, in the 1780's, right after the revolutionary War. Daniel married Mary Devers in Lincoln County, Ky, in 1795. He died around 1806 leaving a young wife and four small children. Polly then married Charles Carter and the Alstott children were raised in the Carter household. |
